Publication Ethics

The International Journal of Social Sciences Review Archives (IJSSRA) is committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct in all stages of the publication process. The journal adheres to the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and expects all parties involved—authors, editors, reviewers, and publishers—to maintain integrity, transparency, and accountability.

1. Responsibilities of Authors

  • Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure their work is original and properly cite all sources. Plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, is strictly prohibited.

  • Authorship: Only those who have made significant contributions to the research should be listed as authors. All listed authors must approve the final manuscript.

  • Multiple Submissions: Authors should not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously.

  • Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial or personal conflicts of interest that may influence their research.

  • Data Integrity: Authors must present accurate data and be prepared to provide raw data for editorial review, if required.

2. Responsibilities of Editors

  • Decision-Making: Editors are responsible for the final decision on whether a manuscript is accepted or rejected based on the quality and relevance of the work.

  • Confidentiality: Editors must ensure that all submitted manuscripts are treated confidentially and shared only with those involved in the peer review and publication process.

  • Fair Review: Editors should evaluate manuscripts solely on academic merit, without bias regarding the author’s race, gender, institutional affiliation, or nationality.

  • Ethical Oversight: Editors must take action if ethical concerns arise about a submitted or published paper, including retraction or correction when necessary.

3. Responsibilities of Reviewers

  • Confidentiality: Reviewers must keep the content of manuscripts confidential and not share or use it for personal advantage.

  • Objectivity: Reviews should be conducted objectively, with clear and constructive feedback provided to authors.

  • Conflict of Interest: Reviewers must decline to review manuscripts if they have any conflicts of interest with the authors or the subject matter.

  • Timeliness: Reviewers are expected to complete reviews within the specified timeframe or inform the editor if more time is needed.

4. Ethical Misconduct and Corrections

  • Retractions and Corrections: IJSSRA will issue corrections, clarifications, or retractions as needed to maintain the integrity of the academic record.

  • Reporting Misconduct: Suspected misconduct (e.g., plagiarism, falsification of data) will be thoroughly investigated. If proven, appropriate action will be taken, which may include banning the authors from future submissions and notifying their institution.

5. Compliance with COPE

IJSSRA fully complies with the ethical principles outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All editorial decisions and publication practices follow COPE's standards to ensure a responsible and transparent publication process.
