Withdrawal Policy

The International Journal of Social Sciences Review Archives (IJSSRA) takes the integrity of academic publishing very seriously. Authors are advised to avoid withdrawing manuscripts unnecessarily once submitted. However, under specific circumstances, withdrawal is permitted, subject to the following policy:

1. Before Peer Review

  • Authors may withdraw their manuscript without penalty before it enters the peer review process.

  • A formal withdrawal request must be submitted in writing to the editorial office via the corresponding author, clearly stating the reason for withdrawal.

2. During or After Peer Review

  • Withdrawal during or after peer review is strongly discouraged, as it wastes valuable editorial and reviewer resources.

  • If the manuscript has already undergone full review, the editorial board reserves the right to record the withdrawal in the journal’s internal records.

  • Authors must submit a justified reason for withdrawal; unjustified or unethical withdrawal may result in a temporary submission ban.

3. Post-Acceptance Withdrawal

  • Withdrawal after acceptance but before publication is only allowed under exceptional circumstances (e.g., proven ethical or legal issues).

  • In such cases, a withdrawal fee may be charged to cover administrative and editorial processing costs.

4. Unethical Withdrawal and Blacklisting

  • If an author fails to respond to editorial communication or submits the same manuscript to another journal without formal withdrawal, the journal may:

    • Notify the author's institution.

    • Place the author(s) on a blacklist for a minimum of 1 year.

    • Publish a statement of unethical withdrawal, if necessary.

5. Withdrawal Fees (if applicable)

  • In some cases, especially after peer review or post-acceptance, a withdrawal fee may be charged to compensate for time and resources spent. Authors will be notified in advance of any such charges.
