The advent of social media has revolutionized the way people engage with politics and has become a powerful tool in shaping public opinion. This article explores the influence of social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram in contemporary political landscapes. Through a qualitative and quantitative analysis, this study examines how social media contributes to the formation of political beliefs, mobilization of political movements, and the shaping of electoral outcomes. The article also delves into the implications of echo chambers, misinformation, and the digital divide on public opinion. Data from various political campaigns and movements across Pakistan will be discussed to illustrate these dynamics. The findings suggest that while social media offers a platform for political engagement, it also poses challenges to democratic processes through the proliferation of fake news and polarization.
