Abstract

This paper explores the transformative impact of urbanization on social structures within emerging economies. Through a mixed-methods approach, we analyze how rapid urban expansion influences family dynamics, social stratification, and community cohesion. The study utilizes statistical data from national censuses, case studies from urban centers, and interviews with urban planners and residents. Findings suggest that urbanization leads to diversified social networks but also intensifies socio-economic disparities. The implications of these shifts for policy-making and urban planning are discussed.
