Abstract

Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) have emerged as crucial actors in advancing social development in Pakistan, particularly in areas where government interventions face limitations. This article explores the multifaceted roles NGOs play in promoting education, healthcare, poverty alleviation, women's empowerment, and community development. Through qualitative and quantitative analyses, the paper evaluates the impact of NGOs on social welfare indicators, challenges faced by these organizations, and strategies to enhance their effectiveness. Two empirical graphs illustrate NGO sector growth and social development outcomes linked to NGO interventions. The findings underscore the indispensable role of NGOs in complementing state efforts toward sustainable social development.
